Does all property have to go through probate when a person dies?

Not all property has to go through probate when someone dies. Only the asset that is in the person’s sole name. So, for example, if a bank account, that is in the deceased’s sole name, has to be probated, that can go into the court system and the other assets, such as the house or brokerage accounts that are titled in trust, they can go through a trust administration.
